The Australian Social Science Data Archive (ASSDA) is a consortium of leading national Australian universities, managed by the Australian National University (ANU). ASSDA was established at the ANU in 1981 with a brief to provide a national service for the collection and preservation of computer readable data relating to social, political and economic affairs and to make these data available for further analysis.

The Research Data Centres program is operated through a partnership with the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI), Statistics Canada and a consortium of universities across the country. Twenty one of these universities host a Research Data Centre or a branch at their campus which is run and serviced by Statistics Canada analysts. In addition, a centre has been established in Ottawa to service the analytical needs of federal departments. The RDC network consists of 15 Research Data Centres, 6 branch RDCs and the Federal Research Data Centre in Ottawa.

The Sociological Data Archive of the Institute of Sociology in Prague collects computerised files of the primary data from sociological surveys. Its main objective is to make Czech sociological data publicly available for academic, educational and other non-commercial purposes. The data library at SDA does not include study reports or table outputs.

The Danish Data Archive (DDA) is a national data bank for researchers and students in Denmark and abroad. DDA is dedicated to the acquisition, preservation and dissemination of machine-readable data created by researchers from the social science and the health science communities.

CSA has adopted the DDI metadata standard to document its surveys and censuses data. A catalog of available microdata is provided on its website.

The GSDB was founded in 1998 and aimed to develop into a credible archive for social data in Greece, covering not only the needs of EKKE but those of the entire research community.

TÁRKI Social Research Institute is an independent, employee-owned research organization that specializes in policy research in the fields of social policy and the social consequences of economic policies. This includes related data-collection, archiving and statistical activities.

The National Sample Survey (NSS), initiated in 1950, is a nation-wide, large-scale, continuous survey operation conducted in the form of successive rounds. Datasets for years 1983 (round 38) to date are available for sale.

ISSDA holds data from surveys and official statistics (such as the Census) and makes them readily available to users in the academic, public and commercial sectors.

The Lesotho Bureau of Statistics (BOS) is a government department set up for the collection, management and dissemination of official national economic, social and demographic statistics to support research and government planning. The Lesotho Bureau of Statistics National Data Catalogue is a web-based catalogue that provides access to information on all national survey data held by the Bureau and other government departments.

BLES Electronic Archived Microdata System (BEAMS)

RODA is the national Romanian institution specialized in archiving electronic data collections obtained by social research. The archive contains data collections accessible for the academic community and the interested public, for secondary and comparative analysis, under certain access conditions ranging from free access to some level of restriction imposed by owners. The archive serves as an intermediary between the data owners and data users.

More than 600 surveys from salient sociological institutions have been collected. The Archive opens its collections for academic research to non-for-profit organizations, research collectives, and individual researches free of charge.
