On-going activities

The IHSN is currently undertaking the following activities:

Developing tools and guidelines

  • Maintenance of NADA 2.0, and development of NADA 3.0
  • Maintenance of the Microdata Management Toolkit
  • Maintenance of the Question Bank application
  • Development of a web-based survey management tool (including a light DDI editor)
  • Finalization of the data anonymization tools
  • Finalization of Guidelines on Generating Census Public Use Microdata Files
  • Finalization of the Survey Quality Assessment Framework (SQAF)
  • Finalization of the Guidelines on Formulation of Microdata Dissemination Policies
  • Preparation of regional conferences on Access to Microdata (with ADP)

Harmonizing survey guidelines

  • Development of several Question Bank modules:
    - food security and coping strategies
    - fortification programs
    - education
  • Preparation of conferences on consumption data (with ADP)
  • Preparation of Guidelines on the use of household surveys for national accounts

Maintaining survey catalogs

  • Maintenance of the IHSN Central Survey Catalog

Survey planning

  • Promotion of the NADA as a tool for publicizing future plans at country level (with ADP)
