IHSN Toolkit Arabic translation workshop (Tunis, June 24-25, 2009)

A regional group of Arabic users of the Toolkit met in Tunis to review and update the translated version of the Toolkit into Arabic. ADP presentation at the DfID statisticians retreat in UK (Latimer, June 16-17, 2009)

The IHSN and the Joint Monitoring Program on Water and Sanitation (JMP) presented the results of the ADP Task 2 workshop conducted in Nigeria. The DfID Statistician’s retreat was attended by over 30 regional and country statistical advisors.

IHSN participates in IASSIST annual meeting in Finland (Tampere, May 26-29, 2009)

The IHSN gave two presentations: one on Data Anonymization and another on the Question Bank at the IASSIST Conference. The Paper on the Question Bank provide insight into the tools being developed by the IHSN as did the anonymization presentation.

Global Fund data archiving workshop (Nairobi, May 4-8, 2009)

This document produced by the Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social research (ICPSR) provides basic guidance for managers in statistical agencies who are responsible for preserving data using the principles and good practice defined by the digital preservation community.

Marrakech Action Plan for Statistics The IHSN is a partnership of international organizations seeking to improve the availability, quality and use of survey data in developing countries. This informal network was established as a recommendation of the Marrakech Action Plan for Statistics.

The IHSN is served by a light Secretariat managed by the World Bank Development Data Group and the Paris21 Secretariat at OECD.
