IHSN Toolkit in SIAP’s ICT Course (Chiba, Japan, 7-10 June 2010)

The IHSN Toolkit was one of the software included in the 1st Group Training Course in Application of Information Management and Related ICT for Official Statistics conducted by the UN Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP) in Chiba, Japan. This is the second SIAP course to include the Toolkit. The course has 23 participants coming from 14 countries, namely: Armenia, Azerbaijan (2), Cook Islands, Ethiopia (2), India (3), Kosovo, Rwanda (2), Samoa (2), Solomon Islands (2), Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand (2), Uzbekistan (2) and Vietnam. The course started on 10 May 2010 and will end on 9 July 2010.
The three days were spent on lectures and exercises covering the modules on Metadata and Microdata Access. The Toolkit was presented as a complete tool to facilitate the said activities and exercises were focused on its use. For more information on the Course please visit www.unsiap.or.jp.
