Survey archiving progressing in Nepal: DDI Production workshop for the Central Bureau of Statistics (22 November - 10 December 2010)

A DDI Production Workshop was held in Kavre, Nepal from 22 to 26 November 2010. Participants to the workshop comprised 22 staff from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) and Branch Statistics Offices. Good quality documentation was produced for 12 surveys at the end of the 5-day workshop.

Director General Uttam Narayan Malla graced the activity on the third day and gave a speech conveying his support for institutionalization of documentation, archiving and dissemination using the IHSN tools within the bureau. Deputy Director General Saroj Aryal opened and closed the workshop.
The following week, the workshop facilitators conducted one-on-one review sessions with the participants to finalize the DDIs. The facilitators then reported the progress of the ADP activities in CBS during a meeting attended by DG Malla, the Deputy Director Generals and Directors.

Presentations were made on the ADP and the NADA version 3. Valuable comments were gathered during the presentation.
